Uploading documents to us online is safe and convenient.
You can upload and submit most documents with your online account through myGov. Read about what kind of Child Support documents you can submit online.
The screenshots in this guide are from a computer. The screen layout will look different if you’re using a mobile device.
Before you upload a document, remove any password protection on the document.
Please make sure all images you upload are appropriate. Don’t upload any images that:
- are distressing, intimidating or offensive
- are of the human body as evidence of physical injuries or to support a claim
- could be considered illegal, as we may report them to the relevant authorities.
Step 1: get started
Sign in to myGov and select Child Support.
On your homepage, select Send supporting documents from Quick links.
Or, from the homepage, select MENU, then Send supporting documents.
Step 2: upload your document
You can include a maximum of 10 files for each upload.
We accept jpg, png, pdf or tiff file formats. Each file must be less than 5 MB in size.
Choose Select a document type.
Select the document type you want to upload from Select a document type.
Select Choose files to find the file or files you want to upload, then select Open.
Select:
- Add file if you have more files to upload for this document type
- Upload if you don’t have any more files to upload for the document type
- Cancel if you no longer want to upload a document or need to start again.
Step 3: review and submit
Documents you’ve uploaded will show in PDF format.
Review the information to make sure it’s correct. If you need to delete a document, select the bin icon.
If you have more documents to upload, select Choose files and repeat Step 2
If you don’t have any more documents to upload, select Submit.
Get receipt
We’ll give you a receipt when you submit your documents. Make a note of the Receipt ID for your records.
After uploading your documents, you can select:
- online history to view your document upload history and go to Step 4.
- Finish to go back to your homepage.
Step 4: view upload history
You can view documents you’ve uploaded in Online history. You don’t need to upload these again unless we ask you to.
From the Online history page, select Upload history.
You can also view your Upload history from your homepage.
Select MENU, followed by Online history.
A list of uploaded documents will display.
In Upload history, your documents will be in PDF format. To view your files, you’ll need PDF reader software.
Select a document to open or save it to your files.
You can’t delete any documents in your Upload history.
Select ChildSupport to go back to your homepage.
Step 5: sign out
From your homepage, you can complete other transactions or select Return to myGov to go back to your myGov account.
For your privacy and security, sign out when you’ve finished using your myGov account.
