Keeping things casual for a worthy cause

Services Australia staff dig deep to raise funds for national charities.

Our staff supporting the recent GIVIT casual dress day

At Services Australia we have a culture of helping Australians - it’s what our staff do every day. Not only are they generous in the way they serve customers, they’re also generous in supporting national charities.

Last year our staff raised a staggering $165,731 through casual dress day donations for 5 national charities:

  • Share the Dignity
  • The Cathy Freeman Foundation
  • Sands Australia
  • The Black Dog Institute
  • GIVIT (floods and Cyclone Seroja support).

'I just wanted to personally reach out and say a huge, huge thank you! I cannot begin to tell you the difference this will make to the women and girls we support.'
Rochelle from Share The Dignity

Our staff nominate the charities on our 2-year National Charity Calendar. The type of charities we support align with our core business of delivering social and health-related payments to Australians.

Recently, a one-off casual dress day raised funds for the Australian Red Cross Qld and NSW Floods Appeal. We expect to raise more than $9,000.

This year we’re supporting Lymphoma Australia, The Healing Foundation, Autism Spectrum Australia, and The Smith Family.

In addition to the casual days, staff can make pay deduction donations to 100+ charities through our Workplace Giving program. The program helps charities have a steady stream of donations from regular donors.

Staff will soon nominate charities for our 2023-24 National Charity Calendar.
