Who it affects
If you get a payment from us and you live in the Northern Territory, you may be on enhanced Income Management if:
- a child protection authority refers you
- a social worker refers you
- you are under 25 years of age and a Vulnerable Welfare Payment Recipient
- an approved organisation refers you
- you are 15 to 24 years of age and had certain payment for the last 3 to 6 months
- you are between 25 and Age Pension age and had certain payments for the last 12 to 24 months
- you volunteer for enhanced Income Management
- you have a payment nominee on enhanced Income Management.
If you have been referred for enhanced Income Management, we will send you a letter.
If you want to volunteer
You can volunteer for enhanced Income Management if you live in the Northern Territory and get a payment from us.
If you volunteer, you must stay on enhanced Income Management for at least 13 weeks.

If you are on Income Management
If you are on Income Management, with or without a BasicsCard, you can choose to move to enhanced Income Management.
