Formal review
You can apply for a formal review of most Parental Leave Pay decisions we’ve made. You should do this within 28 days after the day we make the decision. You don’t have to ask for an explanation first.
We may be able to extend this time limit if we find a longer period should apply.
You can request a pause on debt repayments during a formal review of a debt decision.
You cannot apply for a formal review of a decision about who provides your Parental Leave Pay or dispute resolution matters.

Time limits for employers
There are different rules for employers who want to apply for a review. The Paid Parental Leave Scheme Employer Toolkit has information about reviews and time limits for employers.
