If you get a pension
If you get a pension, your fortnightly amount of Energy Supplement depends on if you’re single or have a partner. You’ll get the following amount of Energy Supplement if you get either:
- Age Pension
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension – if you are 22 or older.

If you get an allowance
If you get an allowance, your fortnightly amount of Energy Supplement depends on if you’re single or have a partner. You’ll get the following amount of Energy Supplement if you get either:

| single, with dependent children | $9.50 |
| single, 55 and older, after 9 continuous months on payment | $9.50 |
| partnered | $7.90 |

| partnered, Age Pension age and older | $10.60 |
Payment options
If you get one of these, you’ll usually get Energy Supplement fortnightly. We pay it with your regular payment. You may also be able to get Energy Supplement quarterly.
