If you get Austudy, the amount of Energy Supplement you’ll get each fortnight depends on your situation.
If you’re Age Pension age and over
If you get Austudy and you’re Age Pension age or over, you’ll get the following amount of Energy Supplement:
- $14.10 if you’re single
- $10.60 if you have a partner.
If you’re under Age Pension age
If you get Austudy and you’re under Age Pension age, you’ll get the following amount of Energy Supplement.

Special rate of Austudy
If you get the special rate of Austudy you’ll get the following amount of Energy Supplement each fortnight:
- $8.60 if you’re single and living away from home to study
- $7.70 if you have a partner and you have no children.
Payment options
If you get Austudy, you’ll usually get Energy Supplement fortnightly. We pay it with your regular payment. You may also be able to get Energy Supplement quarterly.
