Human resources stream in the National Graduate Program

If you have a degree and are passionate about a career in human resources (HR), we want you in our team.

If you have any of the following degrees, you can apply to both the human resources and generalist streams. If you’re assessed as suitable for both streams, we’ll try to match you to the HR stream first.

Once you start, you’ll stay in the HR stream for the duration of the program.

Type of degree

We’re looking for graduates with degrees in:

  • arts, majoring in human resources
  • business, majoring in human resources
  • commerce, majoring in human resources
  • management, majoring in human resources
  • psychology, majoring in human resources
  • human resource management.

Range of work

In the HR stream you might work on a range of projects and tasks, including:

  • strategic HR work: you’ll play a key role in shaping our organisational culture and workforce planning. Your insights will help us build a stronger, more cohesive team.
  • program development and implementation: you’ll lead the charge in creating and rolling out new programs that enhance the capabilities of our staff. Your innovative ideas will drive our success.
  • policy creation and refinement: you’ll develop and refine people policies that ensure our workplace is fair, inclusive and supportive. Your work will make a real difference in the lives of our staff.
  • operational advice and support: you’ll provide crucial advice, support and guidance to various business areas. Your expertise will help us navigate complex challenges and achieve our goals.
