Navigating death resources for community groups

We have resources you can use when you’re helping people in your community affected by the death of someone.

We know community groups play a big role to support people navigating death.

Use our resources to promote our services and help people in your community.

By using this eKit, you agree to use our resources in the exact form we provide them. Don’t change the designs in any way.

If community members need resources

Our eKit resources include information on what to do after someone dies, who to tell and what help may be available. You can use the following eKit resources to support conversations with people in your community:

  • a brochure - Needing help after someone has died
  • a poster about navigating death from planning before you die, to what to do after someone dies
  • a factsheet for Indigenous Australians - Tell us when one of your mob passes away
  • a checklist of who to notify when someone dies
  • forms to notify us when an adult or child dies.

We also have a guide to help people find out if they can get a Centrelink payment by answering a few questions about their situation.

If community members need information in their language

We have translations and interpreter services if people in your community need information in different languages. This includes our Needing help after someone close to you has died brochure.
