Eligible payments are:
- Austudy
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
- JobSeeker Payment
- Parenting Payment
- Special Benefit.
It’s important to know that JobSeeker Payment will stop once you reach Age Pension age. This is because you’re no longer eligible to get JobSeeker Payment. You can apply to transfer to Age Pension to see if you’re eligible for it instead.
If you don’t currently get an eligible payment, you need to complete a full Age Pension claim. You can do this:
- online
- by form
- by calling the Older Australians line
- at a service centre.
