To claim Fares Allowance for pre-booked travel or a reimbursement, you can either:

If you get a reimbursement, we’ll pay it into the same bank account as your student payment.

You have the right to appeal our decision. Read about reviews and appeals.

We may pre-book and pay for your travel by air, ferry, train or coach.

You need to submit a Fares Allowance reimbursement claim by no later than 31 March in the calendar year following the year of study.

If a student dies, another person can claim Fares Allowance on their behalf.
