Referral by child protection authority

You may be on Income Management if your local child protection authority referred you.

A child protection authority caseworker would have referred you if they believe Income Management can help you and your family.

You will be on Income Management for 3 to 12 months from the referral date. After that, a caseworker from your local child protection authority will review your progress. Depending on the result, Income Management may continue.

What happens to your money

70% of your payment and all advance and lump sum payments you get go into your Income Management account. You can access it many ways. The rest of your payment goes into your normal bank account.

When you do not agree

If you do not agree with their decision, you need to contact the caseworker.

If you do not agree with a decision we make, you have the right to appeal it. Read about reviews and appeals.
