Referral by child protection authority

Your local child protection authority can refer you for enhanced Income Management.

Your local child protection authority will refer you if they believe enhanced Income Management can help you and your family.

If you do not agree with their decision, you need to contact them.

How long you will be on enhanced Income Management depends on your situation. The case worker from your local child protection authority will talk to you about it. They will review your progress from time to time. Depending on the result, enhanced Income Management may continue.

What happens to your money

You will get the same payment amount, but in a different way.

70% of your payments and 100% of any advance and most lump sum payments will go to your enhanced Income Management account. You can access this money with a SmartCard.

The rest of your payment goes to your normal bank account.
