Steps to register supplements and subsidies for the Home Care Package.

Steps to register home care supplements and subsidies using your Aged Care Provider Portal (ACPP). You’ll need an individual Provider Digital Access (PRODA) account to access the ACPP. If you don’t have one, register for PRODA account.

To register for the dementia and cognition supplement, you’ll need to be on a Care recipient record.

  1. Go to the Supplements menus and select Dementia and cognition then select Register dementia supplement.
  2. Select Confirm to continue.
  3. Enter the Date of diagnosis and Diagnosis date of receipt. Then select Submit.
  4. Select the Held status hyperlink, and then select Go to dementia and cognition documents to upload the completed dementia and cognition supplement in home care form (AC014).
  5. Upload any other required documents.

To register for the Enteral feeding supplement, you’ll need to be on a Care recipient record.

  1. Go to the Supplements menus and select Enteral feeding summary then select Register Enteral feeding.
  2. Select Confirm to continue.
  3. Enter the Start date on the Register enteral feeding screen.
  4. Select Yes or No for Bolus and select the relevant Enteral feeding type. If the higher rate Enteral feeding type option is selected, the screen will display Net Value (daily) field. Enter the Net Value (daily) amount in dollars and cents.
  5. A success message will be displayed to confirm successful registration and that the event is being processed.
  6. Select Go to enteral feeding documents to upload the form and supporting documents.
  7. Select the Document type and then select Go to enteral feeding supplement documents to upload the completed enteral feeding supplement form (AC011).
  8. Upload any other required documents.

To apply, your care recipient must complete the Aged Care Claim for financial hardship assistance form (SA462).

We assess each application and consider things that are unique to each care recipient. Care recipients will also need to give us documents showing:

  • some of their aged care costs
  • their essential expenses
  • any assets they can’t sell or borrow against, if applicable.

We assess financial hardship assistance claims within 28 days of getting all the information. We’ll send a letter to you and your care recipient to let you know if we have granted the claim. We’ll also tell you how long we’ll pay it for.

If your home care recipient is eligible, payment is automatic where the viability event is submitted.

To register for the Oxygen supplement, you’ll need to be on a Care recipient record.

  1. Go to the Supplements menus and select Oxygen summary then select Register oxygen.
  2. Select Confirm to continue.
  3. Enter the Start date on the Register oxygen screen.
  4. Select the relevant Oxygen type. If the higher rate Oxygen type option is selected, the screen will display Net Value field. Enter the Net Value amount in dollars and cents.
  5. A success message will be displayed to confirm successful registration and that the event is being processed.
  6. Select Go to oxygen documents to upload the form and supporting documents.
  7. Select the Document type and then select documents to upload the completed Oxygen Supplement form (AC011).
  8. Upload any other required documents.
