If you've been directly affected by this disaster, we have Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) and Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) to help you.

AGDRP is a lump sum payment to help if you’ve been adversely affected by this disaster. You may be eligible for this payment if any of the following apply:

  • your home or major assets that you own at your home have been severely damaged or destroyed
  • you’ve been seriously injured
  • your immediate family member has died or is missing.

DRA is a short term payment to help you if you’ve lost income as a direct result of the disaster.

You can get this payment for up to 13 weeks.

If you’re eligible you can get both AGDRP and DRA.

We also have payments for New Zealand citizens living in Australia.

Read the eligibility rules for these payments for North Queensland Floods, January - February 2025.
