More areas are eligible for Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) and Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA).
AGDRP is a lump sum payment to help if you’ve been directly affected by this disaster. You may be eligible if any of the following apply:
- the disaster caused major damage to your home or a major asset or assets that you own at your home
- you were seriously injured
- you’re the immediate family member of an Australian citizen or resident who died or is missing.
You can claim DRA if you’ve lost income as a direct result of this disaster. You could get this payment for up to 13 weeks.
We also have payments for New Zealand citizens living in Australia.
There are some rules you’ll need to meet to get this payment. Read the eligibility rules for Western Queensland Heavy Rain and Flooding, March 2025.
