You can connect a strong level Digital ID to your myGov account to prove your identity to Centrelink.
You don’t need to visit a service centre if you prove who you are to Centrelink using a strong level Digital ID. This is because the verification you do with your Digital ID provider to get a strong level Digital ID meets our identification requirements.

Once you have a strong level Digital ID, sign in to your myGov account and use your Digital ID to link Centrelink and prove your identity.

How to get a strong level Digital ID
myGovID is currently the only Digital ID provider that offers the strong level Digital ID needed for Centrelink.
Download and use the myGovID app to get a strong level Digital ID. You’ll need to enter details from your identity documents and verify your photo.
