The hours of subsidised care you can get per fortnight depends on the hours of recognised activities you do. If your activity level changes, your hours of subsidised care may also change.
If you have a partner we’ll look at both of your activity levels. We’ll use the lower of your or your partner’s activity level to work out your hours of subsidised care.
Read more about how your family activity level affects the Child Care Subsidy.
What you need to do
You need to let us know when there’s a change to your or your partner’s activity level. For example if you start working more days or your partner enrols in an approved course of education.
If your work changes, you need to keep us updated. Read our online guide to updating your paid work details using your online account.
It only takes a few minutes to do the update and you can do it yourself using your Centrelink online account through myGov.
To do this:
- Sign in to myGov.
- Select View Activity Test.
- Select Update Activity Test.
You can also use the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.
