Set up the app

You’ll need to set up your app before you use it.

To set up the app, you need either:

  • an Apple device operating iOS 13 or above
  • an Android device operating 7.0 or above.

If you have an older device or operating system, you can:

You may not be able to update your operating system on an older device.

You can set up the app by following these steps:

  1. Select Start now.
  2. Read and accept the Express Plus Terms and Conditions.
  3. Sign in to your myGov account.
  4. Create a 6 digit PIN.

You can sign in to your myGov account using one of the following:

  • your myGov sign in details which include your username, password and a myGov security code or secret question
  • your Digital ID if you’ve connected it
  • your myGov passkey.

Don’t set a PIN that’s easy for people to guess, like your date of birth. We recommend your PIN is different to other PINs you use.

If you have fingerprint or facial recognition set up on your mobile device, we’ll ask your permission to use it to sign in. Or, you can use your PIN every time you sign in to your app.

The app will sign you out if you haven’t used it for 15 minutes.
