You get a Low Income Health Care Card for 12 months.
You’ll need to apply each year to renew your card and meet the income test. We’ll tell you when it’s close to expiry. You will need to provide evidence of your income and any changes to your circumstances in the renewal period.

We will send you a notice to renew your card. You can renew your card using myGov. Sign in to your Centrelink online account through myGov. Your details will display in the form. You only need to update any information that’s changed.
