Paying parents who use Child Support Collect can choose different methods to pay their child support.
We can enforce outstanding child support payments. Read more about overdue child support payments.
We can also manage repayments if you’ve paid too much child support.
We can’t stop collecting child support payments unless there is a stay order in place.
Payment options
Be careful when making child support payments with your credit or debit card online. We won’t ask you to make child support payments using links in emails, text messages or private social media messages.
Only access the Government EasyPay website using the links on our website. The link on this page is genuine because it’s on our official Services Australia website. Other links to pay child support that are outside of our website may be a scam.
Changes to how we can receive foreign cheques and money orders
The Australian payment system is changing. Some banks no longer accept foreign currency cheques and international money orders.
From 19 December 2024, we can no longer accept payments made by these methods. If you’re not already, you’ll now need to use an electronic payment method or Australian currency cheque.
If you don’t do this, the other person may not receive their child support and you may have an overdue amount.
The options for how you can pay child support are in the following table. Some methods have a small fee.
