Sometimes there may be a pause of your mutual obligation or participation requirements.

Pause of requirements

During this period, no payment suspensions or financial penalties will apply if you don’t meet your requirements.

You must still report any income you and your partner get every 2 weeks, even if it’s $0. This is so we can pay you the right amount.

If you’re unable to meet your requirements for any reason, you should speak to your provider.

Current pauses

There’s a pause of requirements in the following locations.

There is currently no pause of requirements.

There is currently no pause of requirements in ACT.

There is currently a pause of requirements until 22 November 2024 due to local services impacting servicing for the following regions:

  • Local Government Area - Broken Hill
  • Community Development Program - Region 43, Far West Region.

There is currently a pause of requirements until 25 November 2024 due to local services impacting servicing for the Community Development Program, Region 39. It applies to the community of Milingimbi only.

There is currently a pause of requirements until 4 December 2024 due to a bushfire in the following region, Dirranbandi postcode 4486.

There is currently a pause of requirements until 18 January 2025 due to severe weather event in the Community Development Program, Region 47. It applies to the community of Julia Creek only in Cloncurry Region.

There is currently no pause of requirements in SA.

There is currently no pause of requirements in TAS.

There is currently no pause of requirements in VIC.

There is currently no pause of requirements in WA.
