Located at 293 Camberwell Road, the new service centre is just 250 metres from the old site on 527 Riversdale Road.
Camberwell Service Centre Manager Paul said he was excited that customers now had access to government services in a new service centre designed with customer needs front of mind.
“Our staff have been upskilling in preparation for the relocation. We’ll now be able to offer Camberwell customers the full range of Centrelink and Medicare services,” Paul said.
“Centrelink customers who prefer certainty around the time they can speak with a staff member face-to-face can book an appointment through their online myGov account, calling their regular payment line, or by visiting the Camberwell Service Centre.
“Digital coaching is also available to customers who need support accessing government services online.
“I encourage people to take these sessions up. They’re offered at no cost and our staff can help people with their specific needs– from how to set up a digital account to particular online tasks.”
Public transport options are available, with bus route 612 and tram route 75 stopping within 150m of the service centre. Public parking is also nearby.
The new service centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
