You and your delegates can view and update your personal information held by us.
Some of the information displayed is unavailable for selection or editing within Health Professionals Online System (HPOS). This information includes some personal details and qualifications.
You and your delegates can update contact details such as your:
- telephone number and email address
- preferred mailing address, including locality and postcode
- Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) contact details, if applicable.
You and your delegates are unable to update:
- provider Stem number
- prescriber number
- title
- family name
- given names
- date of birth
- gender
- place of base qualifications
- year of base qualifications.
You need a Provider Digital Access (PRODA) account to access HPOS. If you don’t have one, register for a PRODA account. Then follow the steps to set up your HPOS access.
Provider personal details
Follow these steps to update provider personal details:
- Log in to PRODA to use HPOS.
- Select My details.
- Select My personal details.
- Provide all relevant details in the Contact details, Preferred mailing address and AIR contact details fields and select Submit.
- Review the information and select Confirm and Save.
Close a provider number location
Follow these steps to close a location:
- Log in to PRODA to use HPOS.
- Select My details.
- Select My provider numbers.
- Select My provider number details.
- Select Edit to enter the end date to close the location.
- Select Submit.
Re-open a location
When you re-open a location you need to include your organisation’s details. You have to complete this field to continue to re-open the Medicare provider number for that location.
Follow these steps to re-open a location:
- Log in to PRODA to use HPOS.
- Select My details.
- Select My provider numbers.
- Select My provider number details.
- Select Edit to add your email address, phone number, fax number or organisation’s details.
- Select Re-open to re-open closed locations.
- Select Submit when details are correct.
