The myGov user audit recommended an independently chaired advisory board to help ensure government services meet the needs of people, staff and the Australian economy.
An Interim Services Australia Independent Advisory Board was established in December 2023.
The 2024-25 Budget extended the role of an Independent Advisory Board through to June 2028.
The Board considers the work of the agency with a focus on human centred design, delivery and implementation of new and existing services.
Members provide advice to the Minister about various initiatives, considering the following:
- ethical impacts
- human rights impacts
- benefits for people and the economy.
