To get the Pension Bonus Bereavement Payment, you must meet the Age Pension income and assets tests immediately before your partner died.

We’ll assess your and your partner’s income and assets immediately before your partner died. This doesn't include both of the following:

your and your partner’s employment income
compensation payments.
