If you increase your child care hours

You don’t need to let us know if you start using more child care, or your days change.

But if you start using more child care you should make sure your family’s income estimate and activity levels are correct.

It’s important you let us know when there’s a change to your family’s income. It’s even more important you check and update your estimate regularly if your family’s income is close to $533,280.

It’s also important if you have a child in care for more than:

  • 33 hours per week for centre-based care
  • 36 hours per week for family day care
  • 38 hours per week for outside of school care
  • 15 hours per week for in-home care.
