There are 4 types of General Practice Training Payment (GPTP) payments:
- practice payments
- supervisor payments
- registrar payments
- salary support payments.
Some are paid to the practice, while others can be paid to an individual.
Practice payments
We pay these to accredited training practices. Your practice must register in the Organisation Register and add bank account details to get these payments.
Supervisor payments
We pay these to the practice unless they advise we should pay the supervisor directly.
Registrar payments
We pay these directly to the registrar. Payments help with some of the costs of relocating to a new practice, education, training and other registrar expenses.
Salary support payments
We pay these to accredited training practices. Payments are for practices who can host a salary support person for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training. The practice must register in the Organisation Register and add their bank account details before we can pay them. We’ll pay the practice, supervisor or registrar.
