About the Taskforce
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce is a multi-agency partnership working to disrupt fraud and criminal activity, including serious and organised crime.
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce aims to:
- improve how government agencies work together to detect and prevent fraud and serious organised crime
- strengthen government payment systems, to make it harder to do the wrong thing
- develop skills and knowledge across Government to protect the integrity of programs and payments.
Services Australia is a co-lead agency with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce is made up of 13 government agencies including the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission. The Fraud Fusion Taskforce was established in November 2022.
Transition from Taskforce Integrity
Taskforce Integrity was a joint operation between Services Australia and the Australian Federal Police to tackle serious fraud and identity crime.
Taskforce Integrity was absorbed into the Fraud Fusion Taskforce from 1 July 2023.
