Before you start
Before using this service you should consider the available options to decide what is both the most:
- suitable option to help you meet your child support obligations
- cost effective payment option to help you meet your child support obligations.
Payment value and card payment fee
The minimum payment amount is $10.00.
A card payment fee applies to transactions made using this service. This fee is the non–GST part of the fee that we incur from the bank for these transactions. When making a payment the system will advise the fee amount and payment totals before asking you to confirm the transaction. Read about the current fee percentage on the Government EasyPay website.
Transaction receipt
This service will give you a receipt that shows both:
- the payment amount put into your child support account
- the applicable card payment fee.
The details will appear as CSA Payment and CSA Card Payment Fee on your credit or debit card statement.
Processing times
Your payment needs to reach us on or before its due date. You can use Government EasyPay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payments appear in your account in approximately 24–48 hours, longer on weekends and public holidays. We’ll process your payment the next business day if you made it either:
- after 6pm Sydney Australia Eastern Standard Time
- on a weekend
- on a public holiday.
Unavailability of the service
The service may sometimes be unavailable due to technical issues. During these periods if you need to make a payment you should use an alternative payment method. This will ensure we get your payment by the due date and you don’t incur a late payment penalty. If you can’t use an alternative payment method or make your payment, contact the Child Support enquiry line to discuss your options.
If you have paid too much
Call the Child Support Enquiry line if you believe you have either:
- made an incorrect payment
- paid too much.
