Some claims can be resubmitted once you correct the claim error.
The most common reasons why a claim is rejected include:
- the incorrect item number was used
- the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Health Card holder isn’t entitled to the service
- a White Card holder claim doesn’t have the condition treated specified or was provided for a condition DVA hasn’t accepted financial responsibility for
- the information needed to assess the claim was missing
- there’s an issue with a service provider’s eligibility
- the GST status was not recorded
- the ABN has not been supplied.
