Isolation conditions

To get Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC), your child must meet certain isolation conditions.

They only need to meet 1 and they may include:

If your child’s circumstances change, it may affect whether they can get AIC or when it might stop. There are continuity conditions that may apply to their situation.

You need to tell us if your circumstances change. It may change your payment.

Centrelink Assistance for Isolated Children line

Use this line if you’re a parent or carer of children who can't go to a local government school because of geographical isolation, disability or special needs.

Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm
