To get this card you must meet all these conditions:
- be Age Pension age or older
- meet residence rules
- not be getting an income support payment from Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs
- give us a Tax File Number or be exempt from doing so
- meet identity requirements
- meet the income test.

The Commonwealth Seniors Health Card has changed to a laminated card. If you get a new, renewal or replacement card sent to you, it may be either the new laminated card or the older style. Both are a valid proof of concession. The laminated card may seem brighter than the older style card.
